The
St. Joseph Living Rosary Society and the
St. Stanislaus Living Rosary Society are chapters of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. Members promise to pray the 15 mysteries of the Rosary over the course of each week and to pray for other members.
Members come together to pray the Rosary at St. Joseph Church after the 7:30 AM Mass on Sundays and after the 8 AM Mass on weekdays (except Tuesdays).
At St. Stanislaus Church, members come together to pray the Rosary before the 10:30 AM Mass on Sundays.
Some of the ways that the Rosary Societies serve our parishes are:
St. Joseph Church
First Friday Mass intention for all deceased members of the Rosary Society,
Rosary Sunday Mass intention and flowers in October,
Care of the altar linens,
Gifts of flowers for mothers on Mother’s Day and for children receiving First Communion,
Members attend wake services as a group and say the Rosary for the deceased member,
Get well cards are sent to members who are ill,
Host the annual Christmas Concert, interfaith services, and Easter breakfast,
Meet and greet parishioners with a reception two times a year,
Sight and Sound Theatre trip,
Fund raisers: 20 Week Club, Card Party (April, October), Calendar Dance, Babka Sale
And using those funds to purchase cleaning supplies for our church, a washer and dryer for the rectory, donations to the parish picnic, food pantry, CYO basketball and Religious Education program as needed.
St. Stanislaus Church
Clean the parish hall and rectory,
Host visiting priests at the rectory,
Prepare for the blessing of the food for Easter,
Lead the May Crowning procession with our priest to the Blessed Mother Grotto and recite the Rosary and sing hymns,
Meet and greet parishioners with a reception two times a year,
Annual Christmas party to which all women of the parish are invited,
Members attend wake services as a group and say the Rosary for the deceased member,
Get well cards are sent to members who are ill,
Fundraisers: Spring Tea Party, Bake sales, Fall Tricky Tray, Christmas raffle,
And using those funds to purchase altar linens, vacuum cleaners for our church, flowers for the altar, for the Blessed Mother’s statue in the grotto and for the cemetery, and donations to the parish picnic.
