The St. Joseph Holy Name Society and the St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society are chapters of the larger Confraternity of the Most Holy Names of God and Jesus. This Confraternity was introduced into the church by the Dominicans early in Church history when heresies were denying the divinity of Jesus.
The principle goal of the Society is to honor and glorify God and the Holy Name of Jesus through acts of devotion. These acts consist of public professions of faith, public professions of the Holy Name Pledge, regular quarterly corporate Communions and frequent reception of the Sacraments.
Members of the Holy Name Society also serve as ushers, lectors and Eucharistic ministers.
Some of the ways that the Holy Name Societies serve our parishes are:
St. Joseph Church
St. Stanislaus Church
